Kazakhstan and Germany to sign documents worth 2 billion Euro

Kazakhstan and Germany will sign several document totally worth over 2 billion Euro, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry. The Ministry told about the official visit of Nursultan Nazarbayev to Germany on February 7-8. “Discussion of further trade and economic cooperation and attraction of German capital and leading technologies into industrialization of Kazakhstan's economy will be the main keynote of the visit. A package of inter-government and inter-departmental documents is going to be signed after the negotiations. Representatives of business circles of both countries will sign over 40 Kazakhstan-German commercial documents totally worth over 2 billion Euro. These important documents include agreements between the governments on partnership in energy, industry and technologies,” official representative of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry said at the briefing on February 6. According to Altai Abibullayev, the President will meet with the leaders of German government and leading German politicians. “The plan is to discuss a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation and Kazakhstan-EU regional and international cooperation,” Abibullayev noted. Kazakhstan's Ministry of Industry and New Technologies is expected to sign an agreement of understanding in energy saving and energy efficiency with German Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. Nursultan Nazarbayev will take part in the opening ceremony of Berlin Open Club that is the first Kazakhstan project in Europe. According to official information, commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Germany made $3.6 billion in 2011. The total volume of German investments to Kazakhstan’s economy has reached $1.1 billion.
